Students and recent graduates from all degree programmes are eligible to participate in the 

  • Deer conservation
  • Horse care and village support
  • Sea turtle and reptile conservation
  • Teaching English

 

Application deadline:

Monday 12th January at midday.

 

Programme dates: 

Flexible start dates from September 2025-August 2026. Programmes must be completed by August 31st


Spaces available for this project: 

For the 4 week programme:

There are 2 grants available for students who meet any of the widening participation criteria. There is 1 smaller grant available for students who do not meet any criteria.

 

For the 2 week programme:

There are 2 grants available for students who meet any of the widening participation criteria. There is 1 smaller grants available for students who do not meet any criteria.

 

Students who are not accepted for funding can still participate in the programme and be covered by the university's insurance

 

Funding available: 

For 4 week programmes, there are three grants available for students who meet any of the widening participation criteria:

Living cost grant: £588

Travel grant: up to £905

Additional costs: up to £40 this supports payment towards buying/renewing a passport, travel insurance and vaccinations 

For those who do not meet any of the criteria there is a grant of £476 available.

 

For 2 week programmes, there are three grants available for students who meet any of the widening participation criteria:

Living cost grant: £294

Travel grant: up to £905

Additional costs: up to £40 this supports payment towards buying/renewing a passport, travel insurance and vaccinations 

For those who do not meet any of the criteria there is a grant of £238 available.

 

Programme cost: 

The programme fee is from £1,075 for a 2 week programme and from £2,123 for a 4 week programme. Both have an additional registration fee of $329.
