 Britishvolt has made a significant commitment to the region with the creation of its first full-scale Gigaplant, located in Northumberland, UK.

With start of Phase One production scheduled for 2024, and completion targeted towards the end of the decade, the Gigaplant will produce enough battery cells for over 300,000 electric vehicles each year. It will also create thousands of high-skilled jobs, economic opportunity and anchor the region at the forefront of sustainable energy and innovative technologies.
