Dr Mohammad Fattahi

Dr. Mohammad Fattahi is a Senior Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Business Analytics at the Department of Marketing, Operations, and Systems at Newcastle Business School (NBS). He obtained his B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degree in Industrial Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic) and He was also a visiting researcher at the Center for Sustainable Supply Chain Engineering, University of Southern Denmark, Denmark. He has joined the NBS since August 2021.

Mohammad's research interests include Operations Research, Stochastic Programming, and Data-Driven Decision Making and in particular, he is interested in developing personalized data-driven analytical methods for a wide range of Healthcare, Energy, Operations Management, and Supply Chain Management applications.

His works have been published in leading journals such as Annals of Operations Research, Computers and Operations Research, Decision Sciences, European Journal of Operational Research, International Journal of Production Economics, International Journal of Production Research, Production and Operations Management, Resources Policy, and Transportation Research Part E: Logistics and Transportation Review.

He has taught a wide range of courses including Probability Theory and Applications, Supply Chain Management, Statistical Quality Control, Operations Research, Decision-Making Analysis, and Linear Algebra.
