Dr Adam Ramshaw

Assistant Professor

Department: Northumbria Law School

Adam is an Assistant Professor at Northumbria Law School. He is the Deputy Convenor of the Law and Society Research Group. 

Adam has published in leading journals such as Legal Studies, the European Law Review, and the European Human Rights Law Review.

Adam's research is broadly concerned with human rights, constitutional law, and legal theory. Adam is particularly interested in how courts use concepts such as proportionality to assess the infringement of fundamental rights.

Adam is a member of the UKRI Talent Peer Review College. 

Before academia Adam practised as a paralegal at Bond Dickinson, taking instructions from the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation, and Skills.
