Academic Congregations Winter 2025
The winter ceremonies will take place on Monday 1 December and Tuesday 2 December 2025 in Sport Central, Newcastle upon Tyne.
The programmes have not yet been split between these two dates, invitations will be sent out by the end of September and this will give students the exact date and time of their ceremony.
Deferring your ceremony if you cannot attend
If you cannot attend your congregation ceremony for personal reasons, you can apply for deferral. Once you have received your invitation, you can opt to attend a future ceremony by completing the Deferral Application Form. Please note if you wish to attend a Congregation, you must attend within one year of being awarded. You should apply for deferral before the date of your original ceremony, any deferral applications submitted retrospectively will not be considered.
